Justin Jones

استاذ مشارك في دراسة الدين – جامعة اكسفورد ,

مؤرخة ، وتتعلق اهتماماتا البحثية إلى التحول الديني والاجتماعي في الإسلام في شبه القارة الهندية منذ .1850.

يتركز عملها على تغير دور العلماء الحديث "(علماء المسلمين)، وأنواع جديدة من الكتابة الدينية الشعبية، وأشكال حديثة من المؤسسات العامة للمسلمين والنشاط الديني والسياسي. ولقد أجرت أكثر من بحث في ​​شمال الهند ، حيث عملت في عدد من المؤسسات التعليمية والدينية الإسلامية المعاصرة.

ركزت الكثير من الأبحاث التي أجرتها حتى الآن على الإسلام الشيعي في جنوب آسيا ، والعلاقات بين الشيعة والسنة.

وقد كتبت عن ( الاسلام الشيعي في الهند ) و ( الشيعة الاثنا عشرية والاسماعيلية )
