Leslie Peirce
هي أستاذة في التاريخ .
وتشمل اهتماماتها البحثية التاريخ المبكر الحديث عن الإمبراطورية العثمانية ، والجنس ، والقانون ، والمجتمع.
حصلت على الشهادة الجامعية الاولى في التاريخ من كلية هارفارد،
كما حصلت على الماجستير في دراسات الشرق الأوسط من جامعة هارفارد ،
ونالت الدكتوراه (1988) في دراسات الشرق الأدنى من جامعة برينستون .
في 1988-1998 كانت مع جامعة كورنيل.
في 1998-2006 كانت أستاذة في أقسام التاريخ ودراسات الشرق الأدنى في جامعة كاليفورنيا، بيركلي .
منذ عام 2006 وقالت انها تعمل مع قسم التاريخ وقسم الدراسات الشرق أوسطية والإسلامية في جامعة نيويورك .
