أستاذ مساعد في الدراسات الإسلامية (الأنثروبولوجيا) في جامعة سانت غالن، سويسرا.
وقد شغلت سابقا مناصب بحثية وتدريسية في سواس (لندن) ومعهد وولف (كامبريدج).

وتشمل اهتماماتها البحثية الهويات الثقافية والأقليات في شمال أفريقيا والصوفية في شمال أفريقيا والإسلام في أوروبا والدين المقارن والعلاقات بين المسلمين واليهود.
