عضو هيئة التدريس في جامعة وينيبيغ (كندا)، قسم الدين والثقافة،

تتركز اهتماماته في التصوف والإسلام المعاصر والفلسفة.

وهو مؤلف كتاب الصوفية الحية في أمريكا الشمالية بين التقليد والتحول (مطبعة جامعة نيويورك، 2015).

أكمل الدكتور ديكسون دكتوراه مشتركة في الدراسات الدينية (2012) في جامعة ويلفريد لورييه وجامعة واترلو، مع التخصص في الدراسات الإسلامية. وبوصفه زميل الدكتوراة في اللجنة العليا لحقوق الإنسان والشعوب (2010-2011)، حضر ديكسون جامعة تورنتو وجامعة كوبنهاجن في كلية الدراسات العليا في دمشق، سوريا.
