عضو هيئة التدريس في جامعة ترير(المانيا) ، قسم الفلسفة ،
أندرياس لامير هو أستاذ مبتكر للفلسفة العربية والثقافة والتاريخ في جامعة ترير بألمانيا. تتمثل اهتماماته البحثية الأساسية في الفلسفة الطبيعية اليونانية والعربية في كل من تقاليد أرسطو وطبائع أفسينيا ، وعلى نطاق أوسع في نقل الأدب الفلسفي والعلمي من اليونانية إلى العربية ومن العربية إلى اللاتينية.
قبل تعيينه ، درس الفلسفة واللغة والأدب الألماني في جامعة فورتسبورغ ، وحصل على درجة الماجستير في الفلسفة من كلية كينجز في لندن ، وحصل على درجة الدكتوراه في الفلسفة والدراسات العربية من جامعة LMU في ميونيخ. عمل كمساعد باحث في جامعة LMU ومعهد توماس بجامعة كولونيا ، ودرّس في جامعات فورتسبورغ وكولونيا وجينا.
